Best Damn Things
Best Damn Happy Hour
Since we have been spending a lot of time at home and very little time going out, my husband has become quite the bartender. It's nice to sit on the porch with a refreshing cocktail and unwind from the week. Here are some of the best adult beverages we've tried this summer. Not including beer - that'll be another post because we are beer enthusiasts, aka hopheads! But for right now grab your ice and open your liquor cabinet. You need to try these....
Cranberry Moscow Mule from The Blond Cook
I know, I know, it's not December and you're not thinking about cranberries, but this drink is absolutely refreshing and delicious and you can find cranberry juice at any grocery store year round, so please hear me out.
Moscow mule's are one of my absolute favorite drinks. They aren't too sweet, they are served in pretty copper mugs, and this particular recipe is exactly what you need at the end of the week. Wonderfully crisp and a little tart. No need to garnish with cranberries if you don't have them, but look how pretty this drink is!!
Fresh Cherry Margaritas from Tide & Thyme
Fresh muddled cherries, lime wedges and orange liqueur make this one of the best margaritas I have ever had. Do not let the muddling process (it only takes a couple minutes) intimidate you from trying this recipe. It's A-MA-ZING.
I like to leave the rim of my cocktail glass clean - no salt or sugar - because this drink is fresh and invigorating all on it's own!
Blueberry Mojitos from All Day I Dream About Food
When I think of summer cocktails on the porch, a mojito is one of the first drinks that come to mind. I love this recipe because you can control the sweetness and it is simply beautiful with the deep blue color from the blueberries and the green color from the mint leaves.
We have tried it using blueberries and raspberries - both fantastic! YUMMMMY.

Call Me a Cab Vodka Lemonade Wine Cocktail from Food Wine Sunshine
A very long name for a super simple 4-ingredient recipe! This is a marvelously refreshing wine cocktail and comes together quickly. You can choose the lemonade you add which is nice because I don't like anything too sweet.
This is a good recipe to make when you have guests coming over. I couldn't quite get the laying as pretty as the picture but nonetheless, it was delicious!
Pink Grapefruit Margaritas from There Goes the Cupcake
I am a big fan of grapefruit. I find the tart taste very refreshing. I am not a big fan of any drink that is too sweet. This drink covers both of my preferences - refreshing and not too sweet!
The color from the Ruby Red Grapefruit makes these not only delicious but really pretty in your stemless wine glasses. I have to agree with There Goes the Cupcake about using fresh lime juice, it compliments the orange liqueur.
These taste just as good as they look....
