Best Damn Baked Goods (from a box)

Shhhhh.....no one has to know it's from a package because it's so damn good.

Yummy Baked Goods..........Mmmmmmmm

There is pretty much nothing that beats the comfort of baked goods. Not just the taste but the way they make your house smell and the way they bring the entire family running to the kitchen. There are a few recipes for baked goods that I have to make from scratch (bakery style chocolate chip cookies or banana bread) because nothing else can match the taste and texture. BUT, below are some boxed baked goods that are just as good as homemade or better!

Ghirardelli Triple Chocolate Brownie Mix

This mix is my number one go to for the best brownies. Perfect texture every time - crisp edges, fudgy moist center, and rich chocolate flavor.

I always make mine in an 8X8 inch pan so they are thick and chewy.

I've tried many many many store bought brownies, brownie mixes, and homemade recipes. This brownie mix beats them all with the texture and intense chocolate flavor.

Try them.

Krusteaz Meyer Lemon Pound Cake

This cake is delicious and super easy to make!

I have tried other lemon boxed baked goods and sometimes they have a fake lemon taste to them. Not this one. It doesn't have any artificial ingredients. It has a nice real lemon flavor.

One reviewer says,

"This mix is the closest I've found to the Starbucks Lemon loaf"

Hint: When making the glaze use lemon juice instead of water for a great tart taste!

Betty Crocker Peanut Butter Cookie Mix

My friend, Jill, took these cookies to a company get together years ago and her boss raved that they were the best peanut butter cookies she ever tasted. Jill may or may not have told her they were homemade....

The point is, these cookies are delicious. The peanut butter flavor is intense, the crispy edges but chewy middle is perfection.

I can't make a better homemade peanut butter cookie and frankly I don't want to when I can quickly make these scrumptious cookies from a package.

Krusteaz Cinnamon Swirl Crumb Cake

If you've read my post on the best damn electric tea pot, then you know my family loves tea. The most perfect thing to go with a cup of hot tea is this crumb cake.

I've always been a big fan of coffee cake. The sweet crumbly top paired with moist yellow cake. It is one of my favorite comfort foods. This mix by Krusteaz is amazingly good.

I've made this cake for new neighbors, I've taken it to pot lucks, and it's perfect for breakfast with a side of scrambled eggs for out of town guests.

Yummy, yum, yum.

Krusteaz Snickerdoodle Cookie Mix

These delicate, crisp, classic cookies are absolutely delicious. They turn out not too sweet with a subtle cinnamon flavor. They turn out beautifully light brown with a crinkle top.

The cinnamon smell that fills your house while they are baking is reason enough to make these scrumptious cookies!

I love to give these cookies as gifts in clear treat bags tied with ribbon because they are delightful to look at and wonderful to eat!

My tip - don't over bake!
